The Teachers’ Association of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) organized an Iftar and prayer party on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. Approximately 350 teachers from the university attended the Iftar event.

The event took place on Wednesday (March 20) evening at the university’s Community Center.

Before the Iftar, special prayers and supplications were offered for the welfare of the country, nation, and the university.

The event was chaired by the President of the Teachers’ Association, Professor Dr. Md. Rafiqul Islam Sarder, and conducted by the General Secretary, Professor Dr. Md. Asaduzzaman Sarker. The Vice-Chancellor of BAU, Professor Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, graced the occasion as the chief guest.

Professor Dr. Md. Emdadul Haque Chowdhury, Vice-Chancellor of BAU, emphasized that fasting is not just about abstaining from food but also about adopting the teachings of fasting into our lives.

He further added that every day, the less fortunate and hungry observe fasting, and it’s our responsibility to show compassion towards them.
