Professor’s Pet Care, Mymensingh has started free rabies vaccination program for pets on the occasion of World Veterinary Day 2024 to protect the health of pets and humans.

This program will continue for 7 days started from Friday (May 3) to next Thursday (May 9). Free rabies vaccine is being provided to pets especially dogs and cats on payment of registration fee of BDT 50 only.

Prof. Dr. Md. Mahmudul Alam, Professor of the department of Surgery and Obstetrics of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) and the owner of Professor’s Pet Care, said that currently Bangladesh ranks third in terms of death due to rabies. Rabies is not limited to animals. This disease can also infect humans. Once rabies occurs, there may be no cure. Vaccination is the only way to prevent and eradicate rabies.
