Italy’s death toll rose beyond that of China on Thursday, as the coronavirus continued to spread. Italy death toll overtakes China. The coronavirus death toll in Italy has risen by 427 in the past 24 hours to 3,405, which means it has overtaken the number of deaths in China so far. The total number of cases in Italy rose to 41,035 from a previous 35,713, up 14.9 per cent, the Civil Protection Agency said. Of those originally infected, 4,440 had fully recovered.

The UAE has announced 27 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the country’s total to 140.
